This project was organized for Free Family & Community Day at the Portland Art Museum on April 28, 2013.
The public was invited to participate in this project by making a duplicate of a significant object using various sculptural materials. When participants finished making their object, they were asked to write a brief description and to have their picture taken with their object. Then they could choose to take their object or to leave it in the gallery and choose another object made by a different participant,
To start the project a collection of objects was made by Katie Gillards’ seventh grader students at Cedar Mill middle school during the week before the event.
