From April 23 through May 1st there will be a display of K-5 student work at City Hall. Most of the programs participating in the show are in existence due to the Arts Tax in Portland. This show highlights the positive effects of bringing art back to PPS schools. Jason Lee K-8 School, where I teach, will have work on display.
Reception: Wednesday, April 30 at City Hall from 3:30-5:00 p.m

Layered Landscapes is an exploration of Portland, Oregon dictated by born and bred residents. Steph, Hank, Andy, and Dan shared their memories of places located around the city and guided me on personalized walking tours. While I walked each individual’s route, I documented the multisensory experience of moving through each place, collecting the sights, sounds and textures. The work in this exhibition refers to the visual language of cartography, while blending the physical landscape with the experiences and memories that transform spaces into places.
